Event manager spotlight - creative director, Louise
Glow was founded in 2009 by Sean Kingwell and Louise Love. They combine over 39 years of event management experience and have created a full time, globally active team.
Today we’re focussing on our lady at the helm, Louise, who has worked in events for the past 10 years. She’s helped create Glow into the event management agency that it is, running large conferences to group incentive trips- ensuring that every minor detail is looked after.
However, Louise didn’t always work in events, she actually began her career as a Graphic Designer, which she did for fourteen years before she left to set up Glow. We asked her where some of her favourite locations are, and what she loves about working for Glow, and you can see her designer influence still runs through….
What’s Your Favourite Country?
India, because it’s completely wild, mental and colourful. It’s life and death beautifully rolled together.
What’s Your Favourite City?
Has to be split between two- New York and Hong Kong as both are super cool and very hip. There’s amazing design everywhere you look.
What’s Your Favourite Hotel?
One of my favourite hotels is the London Edition Hotel as the design of it is amazing. It’s just meters away from Oxford Street and it feels like you’re walking into a Belle Epoque mansion but pulled into the modern day with amazing features and comfort.
Most Memorable Glow Moment?
The time that I managed to get a chair for a client with COPD at the Monaco Grand Prix Race Track. It was quite a challenge and I had to work hard to get it. The client was an older gentleman, and so lovely, that it made me cry when I managed to get it for him.
What Makes All The Hard Work Worth It?
You just can’t beat watching people smiling at events or on trips that you’ve organised. Knowing that they are enjoying themselves is priceless.
